So now that GW has gone F2P
2 questions,
So now that GW1 turned F2P with micro transaction cashshop to support it with GW2 likely doing the same, does this mean we wont have to buy GW2 and it will be free to download like all other cash shop games?
This leads me to another question about GW1 now thats its F2P, when are we going to be able to d/l it, or add new campaigns to our accounts that dont have all of them yet. In other words, when are we going to get the FREE from Free to play game cash shop game?

Maybe. To be honest, I hope.
Micro transactions allow them to implement new features, gimmicks, and non-major content into the game without needing a new campaign, and earn a profit at the same time.
If they had things like Bonus Mission Packs, I'd be pleased.

Ill try to answer this as best I can due to the obscure questions
Guild Wars 2 will be free to play, as GW1 is at moment i.e you purchase the game and its free to play afterwards.
2.the micro transactions has nothing to do with the campaigns so,
If you only have 1 campaign then you will need to purchase the other ones to play them.
I think thats what your asking.

uhh I dont know how to ask anymore basic.. but lemme try
A. is GW2 going to be F2P too
B. and when will GW1 start being FREE to play, like when can we d/l a new campaing and start playing it.
I got a 2nd account that doesnt have all the campaign on it yet, It would be aperfect time to get them all on there now that GW is finally a free to play game where they can make money by selling in game stuff instead of selling boxes, so any news / ideas on when they fully plan to start giving away the game for free to d/l?

GW has not "gone" f2p. You had to buy the campaigns and the expansion. That is not the f2p model. Just because Anet offers cosmetic items does not change this to a f2p game. When Anet starts offering "functionally" better equipment in their store, they will have changed to the f2p model (at least in my mind, possibly still not by definition). If/when that day comes, they will stop getting money from me, and I will move on to another game.
Until then, I have no problem with them offering cosmetic baubles in their store. If I like it, I'll buy it. If I don't like it, I won't. It's really that simple and not deserving of so many consipracy theories.

don't try to explain yourself, you don't even know what f2p is. As stated before you reiterated you don't have a clue. GW is f2p after you buy the initial campaign you want to play on. Instead of monthly fee like WoW.
The type of game you are thinking about is like battlefield: heroes. Which originally was free to download and play and never have to buy anything, until they implement purchasable weapons that were more powerful than stock(free) ones. End of playing that game for me.

GW2 is going to be free to play (meaning no monthly fees to pay so that you can play it), but you will still have to buy the game (the access code if you will).
GW1 has always been free to play (again: after you buy your access code, no monthly fees and only optional store purchases). I highly doubt the campaigns, any of them, will ever be free to download, and I mean that in a way where you actually create a free account with free campaigns added. That would make no sense really.

Ima putting my money on the fact that the OP is just trolling and trying to compare GW's new micro transactions to F2P games that have them and are usually pretty bad. Oh don't worry if you did not get it, I don't think the OP is particularly bright

UGH, you dont get it, no F2P game with a cash shop makes you "buy" their game, just because you buy guild wars doesnt mean its not F2P. Its F2P because it makes money from cash shop items. So they dont need to sell the game. So when are they are going to stop selling the game is the question and start giving it away for free? Like everyu other F2P game does, do you get it now?

GW isn't 'free to play' as you see it. It's free to play online. You have to BUY the games. GW2 will use the same system.
